On April 25–26, 2025, the Government of Telangana, in collaboration with the Samruddha Bharat Foundation, hosted the inaugural Bharat Summit at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the historic Bandung Conference, the summit convened over 450 delegates from more than 100 countries, including political leaders, policymakers, academics, and civil society representatives.
The summit facilitated in-depth discussions on pressing global issues such as economic and climate justice, gender equality, democratic resilience, social inclusion, and multilateral reform. Through plenary sessions and closed-door meetings, participants engaged in constructive dialogues aimed at fostering actionable solutions and advancing the cause of global justice.
A significant outcome of the summit was the adoption of the Hyderabad Resolution, a comprehensive 44-point agenda reaffirming commitments to freedom, equality, justice, and solidarity. The resolution emphasized the importance of defending democratic institutions and inclusive governance in the face of rising authoritarianism and extremism.
The Bharat Summit 2025 marked a pivotal moment in global progressive discourse, laying the groundwork for sustained cooperation among like-minded leaders and movements dedicated to shaping a future defined by dignity, peace, and shared prosperity.
